We Care about Mom’s Wellness
A recent study concluded that women who work at home had a 54% higher death rate from cancer than women who had been away from the home.
The study concluded that this was due to daily exposure to hazardous household chemicals.
They call it “out-gasing”…the chemicals continually leaking out of the containers…just think back to when you walk by the laundry or cleaning product isle at the store…you can smell it 3 isles away.
Of the chemicals found in personal care products:
884 are toxic
146 cause tumors
218 cause reproductive complications
314 cause biological mutation
376 cause skin and eye irritations
(Source: United States House of Representatives report, 1989 - National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) from their analysis of 2,983 chemicals)
ALL cleaning products are HARMFUL if swallowed.
As a matter of safety, all labels contain a "signal word" that designates the level of toxicity of the product.
"DANGER!" indicates the product is highly toxic (much less than a teaspoon can harm or kill an adult);
"CORROSIVE!" means that the product can burn the skin or eyes;
"FLAMMABLE!" means that the product has a high flash point and can be ignited by a spark or open flame contacting its vapors;
"WARNING!" means the product is moderately toxic (about a teaspoon to an ounce can harm or kill an adult);
"CAUTION!" means a product is slightly toxic (more than an ounce can harm or produce a toxic effect in an adult).
It MUST be noted that children are far more susceptible to being harmed or killed by these type of products compared to adults. Read about Children’s Wellness
